Introduction to Tropical Ecology in Costa Rica

We've been in Costa Rica's sun for 2 days now and it has truly been an eye opener! We already got the chance to experience the presence of a red macaw parrot, a toucan, crested curassow, a gecko, a baby Iguana, a seagull, and many different species of plants. We also got the chance to take a nice hike in Liberia to the canyon. The water was soothing and surprisingly very clean. The lecture on plate tech tonics was also very interesting not only because it was outside and briefly interrupted by the sounds of the creatures around us, but because we learned how their movement is how Costa Rica was formed. We are now on a bumpy ride traveling to a volcano where yet another adventure and exciting learning experience awaits.
